• Loctite HY 4070 is a 2-part, transparent, cloudy colorless to pale yellow cyanoacrylate/acrylic hybrid universal bonder that provides a fast fixture at room temperature in bond gaps up to 0.2in (5mm).
• Loctite HY 4070 Universal Bonder is designed for the assembly of parts with bond gaps up to 0.2 in (5 mm), and/or for applications where the complete cure of excess adhesive is a must. The gel consistency prevents adhesive flow even on vertical surfaces. HY 4070 is ideally suited for applications where temperature and moisture resistance is required. Best application results are achieved with use of the LOCTITE cyanoacrylate mixing nozzle (contained in the 11 gram kit).

• How to use
  1. 1. Preparation - Cleaning
  • It is recommended to use the correct LOCTITE® cleaner for the surface to be bonded (such as LOCTITE® SF 7070) to degrease and clean surfaces prior to applying the adhesive.
  1. 2. Preparation of Cartridge
  • Place plunger in the back of the cartridge. Remove cap from cartridge. Dispense a small amount so that material is coming out of both sides. Attach mix nozzle and dispense a bead at least half of the length of the nozzle. The material is ready to use.
  1. 3. Application
  • Apply a bead of material to one of the surfaces to be bonded. Join the parts and fixture in a way to prevent movement of the part until handling strength is obtained.
