• Loctite Threadlocker Red 271 is designed to permanently lock and seal threaded fasteners  and prevent loosening due to vibration. This unique formula is ideal for fasteners up to 1" (25 mm) and is perfect for engines, machinery and vehicles with valve covers, water pumps and generators. Loctite Threadlocker Red 271 is moisture resistant and protects threads against leaks, rust and corrosion while eliminates the need for expensive lock nuts and washers. Quick and easy to use, this durable, high-strength twist lock locks in just 10 minutes and fully cures in 24 hours. Loctite Threadlocker Red 271 is a permanent solution for locking and sealing threaded fasteners and can only be removed when hardened by heating parts up  to 260°C.
